The KJV only people give inerrancy people a bad name. That view in my view sitsin the same pew as the literal six day creation theory.

When we see a supernova explosion and the star is millions of light years away, must we conclude that the Creator constructed a mirage that presents an event that did not take place. I cannot see any purpose for that deception.

Rick, I'm a teetotaler and that offends me.

I didn't take journalism. And I've heard that argument before and happen to agree with you. Unfortunately for those that are KJV only, that flies in the face of any argument they would make.

I cannot understand why anyone would object to another good translation. However, like Shakesphere, the KJV does offer some flowery prose which has a literary fragrance to some of us who paid attention in journalism class.

I know, you guys were absent with hangovers!

I'm still amazed that there are churches where this is an issue... But then again when I bring up the issue with my grandmother, who is a lifelong Nazarene, she gets pretty defensive too... Thank goodness for the NIV (aka the Nazarene Inspired Version, lol).
